What “all-in” means

All-in hardware and labour: one figure covering the equipment and the work to fit it. The listed price applies to a standard installation with accessible plumbing and a suitable sink or counter location for the faucet. We verify fit before confirming the appointment.

Possible non-standard work

Unusual cabinetry, inaccessible shutoffs, plumbing repairs, specialized stone drilling or electrical work are not silently folded into the appointment. If your photos show an exception, we explain the option and cost before you book.

Warranty and first-year filters

Your installation includes a 1-year workmanship warranty and the first year’s scheduled replacement filters on us. This keeps your first year clear and predictable.

Optional, not bundled

Add-ons, including the alkaline filter option.

These sit outside the $550 package on purpose. Both the cartridge and the labour to add a stage depend on the model going into your cabinet, so we quote them per job instead of publishing a number we would have to qualify. Mention any of them when you book and the cost is confirmed before the appointment.

Alkaline filter option

Alkaline pH post-filter

A remineralization stage fitted after the membrane. It reintroduces a small, controlled amount of calcium and magnesium, which nudges pH back up and gives the water a rounder, less flat taste.

Mineral-restoring RO configuration

Inline remineralization cartridge

The same idea built into the system layout from the start, for households that want mineral-restoring RO rather than the most aggressively stripped water the membrane can produce.

Second filtered outlet

Fridge or ice-maker feed

A branch from the filtered line to a fridge or ice maker, where the appliance is close enough to the cabinet and the run can be made without exposed tubing.

Should you add a remineralization stage?

A membrane separates dissolved minerals along with everything else it removes, which is why some people find RO water tastes flat. An alkaline pH post-filter answers that: filtered water passes through a calcium and magnesium media bed on the way to the faucet, picking up a small amount of mineral content and a slightly higher pH.

A mineral-restoring RO setup is a taste and pH preference, not a safety upgrade. It does not change what the membrane separates, and people generally get essential minerals from food rather than water. If you have a medical or dietary reason to care about mineral intake or pH, raise it with a healthcare professional rather than treating a filter stage as the answer.

It is one more consumable in the stack, replaced on roughly the same annual schedule as the other post-filters. See the alkaline and remineralization FAQs →

Ongoing ownership

Maintenance without mystery.

RO systems protect performance through scheduled filter changes and periodic membrane replacement. The exact interval depends on household use, source-water quality and the final equipment specification.
